It’s an amazing book..the movie based on it is also really good..i liked the other book by the same author “a thousand splendid suns” even more..it’s a heart-wrenching story that makes you see the world in a whole new light..in both the books i just loved the letters which are drafted so emotionally and perfectly by Khaled Hosseini..in this book it’s the letter Hassan leaves behind for Amir..in the latter it’s a letter Jalil leaves behind for his daughter Mariam..for my personal reviews on the two books, visit:

I prefer eating at the buffet opposed to a dinner at this restaurant. Daddojanam (curd rice) and deep fried bendi curry are my favorites at the buffet along with the mango custard.

I heard that “The Chapman Report” was Irving Wallace’s most successful and popular book. But I haven’t read it yet. The other books of Irving Wallace’s that I have read are – “The Miracle”, “The Almighty” and “The Prize”. Of these 3 books, “The Prize” is a good read.

Hi. I’m currently reading it. The book of Irving Wallace “The Seventh Secret”. And somehow, I find it ridiculous at the start because of the short existence of Dr. Ashcroft. But, as the story goes on, I’m starting to get interested. But, I wanna ask you what book was his greatest work?

I don’t think Ashley or Alette ever existed. It was Toni all the time. But I thought the book was extremely predictable for a Sidney Sheldon.
Have you ever read Sybil? Now that’s a great book!

P.F Chang’s is one of the most favored chinese bistros in the valley among most ‘desis’, I guess (I happen to see atleast 2 other table full of ‘desis’ whenever I dine there & that happens to be quite FREQUENT). I have to agree with you boremenot, the lettuce wraps are a hot fav and are pretty good compared to other places (read: Cal Pizza Kitchen).

But among the entrees, my personal fav is the Chang’s Spicy Chicken which is a hot, sweet and succulent dish. It is lightly dusted and sauteed with sauces that make it delicioso.

And the dessert to die for at P.F Chang’s is the Great Wall of Chocolate which basically translates to tons and tons of cals…but who cares! It is a chocolate lover’s delight with layers of chocolate cake smothered with chocolate & choco chips served with raspberry sauce & berries….yummm!! As a friend of mine put it, ending a meal at P.F Chang’s with this makes one attain nirvana (but mind you he is thin as a stick:( )!! I was surprised not to find it mentioned on the blog.
